Thursdays are another way of telling me that I'm fu*king loser.

Here's a "great" dialogue I had with my manager:

Me: So, I had this question about this assignment.  The accounts seem to be having some issues with blah blah blah ( I won't bore you with the specifics).

Boss: Oh well yeah.  That's why we had you come on board.

Me: I appreciate that, but I'm still trying to figure things out here.

Boss:  Well how about this?  I know you're busy Monday through Friday.  How about you come in on Saturday to do some catch up work?  I'm sure with you coming in on Saturdays, you'll be up on in no time.

Yeah. THE MAN SAID TO COME IN ON SATURDAYS!!!!!

I swear I think I've hit Dante's Inferno and this is just the tip of the iceberg...

I hate Wednesdays just as much as Mondays

I thought I'd share some info before I go apeshit.

I recently came on board and took over some accounts.  It was horrible.  The person who left prior to me coming on board messed up everything.

I had work literally the minute I walked in.  No training, no 2 week get out of jail card.  It was just crap.

So here I am cleaning and I have co-workers who are sitting next to me giggling about trivial stuff.  Not only that, they want me to join in with them.

Seriously.. I do not have time to sit and shoot the breeze with you folks.  I really do not care if you your step daughter got arrested for a DUI.  I really don't care that you had a flat tire when coming into work.  I sure as hell do not care that you have a sinking suspicion that your girlfriend is cheating on you.  Chances are I'm probably the guy that's messing around with your girlfriend.

Why is it that when you're swamped, you have people who constantly drop by your cubicle and ask me how my day is coming along.

BRO! I'M SWAMPED WITH WORK.  LEAVE ME ALONE

Are you there God? It's me, dumbass

Like a fat kid eating cake, I haven't been able to breathe well.

Wait. What?

This was meant to be daily devotion of being thankful and I managed to shit that down the toilet.

Here goes:

I AM THANKFUL THAT I HAVE A JOB.  A JOB THAT MAKES ME SHIT CHICKEN NUGGETS THE MINUTE I WALK INTO THE OFFICE.  A JOB THAT HAS CUSTOMERS CALLING IN AND YELLING AT ME BECAUSE I'M NOT DOING MY JOB.  A JOB THAT DOES NOT HAVE A TIME SCHEDULE.  8-5PM MY MONKEY ASS.

Late.

Giving thanks has been ignored....

Where to begin.

If I had to give thanks for all those days, I missed.. it would be:

I'm glad, I'm still alive.
A lot has happened over the months since I've last posted.  I'm kind of in this transition where I realize that I have no idea who I am.  I don't know what I want to do with my life.  I don't know what ticks.  What motivates me?  Who is my dream girl?

I've been in this funk for a while now.  I'm thinking of just shutting everything out of my life.  It'll just be me without any outside influence or chatter.

I'm getting older and I'm beginning to realize that I can't just sit and wonder where or what I'm doing with my life.

I need to find my purpose.

Uh.... I did it again...

No excuses.  I take full responsibility.

It seems like I have some catching up to do.

Mask

Is it just me.. or does this encourage people to rob banks?

I just saw a commercial for this..

The Exo-Pro neoprene face mask: http://exo-pro.com/

I'm sure it does the job....but really?  I  guess people from California just don't understand how cold it can  get in other areas.

Crap...last posted January 18th...

Feb 27: I'm grateful that I was able to close an account that was pending for over six months.  WHEW!

Feb 28: I'm grateful that this month will finally close.  It's been pretty hectic..

As of lately, I've been reading Joel Osteen.  Embarrassingly enough.. I read when I'm on the john.  Thoughts of inventions, career, faith, daily rants always seem to occupy me when I'm sitting on my throne.

I'm going off topic for some reason.. but anyways Mr. Osteen was mentioning about how a Native American was mentioning to his grandson that we all have two wolves battling inside of us.  One of them is jealous, quick to anger, selfish and just pure evil.  The other is patient, kind, generous, self sacrificing and strives for good.

His grandson asked him who wins the battle between these two wolves.

The old man said, "The one that you feed."

I was taken back by this little blurb from Joel Osteen.  I really have to keep my emotions in check.

Ironically, I've been asked to post some "thankfuls" from friends and complete strangers.  I'll start doing that very shortly.
